RRC Northern Railway Apprentice Application Status Link Available. Northern Railway’s Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has released the application status of applicants who applied for apprenticeships under the Apprentices Act 1961 to provide training at various Divisions/Units/Workshops (Notification No. RRC/NR-01/2021/Act Apprentice). The deadline for applications was October 20.

Application Fee
- Candidates should pay Rs. 100/-
- For SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates: NIL
- Pay fee through Online mode.

- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Merit Criteria
Apprentices are not chosen based on the results of any admission exams. The RRC does not conduct any examinations or tests in order to choose candidates. The Railways’ Merit List is determined by the candidates’ scores in the 10th Class or equivalent, as well as their scores in Industrial Training Institute Diplomas. Taking the average of both scores yields a common value for the candidate’s scores. The final score is calculated out of a maximum of 100 points, and a merit list is created based on the results. As a result, this merit list is utilised to choose deserving individuals for apprenticeship.
Training Program
The training program for the selected apprentices will commence after the release of the selection list. The candidates will receive a stipend based on the pay level along with grade pay. The training of the candidate will be in a particular field depending upon the requirement of the department. In general, the apprenticeships can reduce as per the needs of the administration. The trainees will have to sign a contract before starting with the training program.
