Kangana Ranaut went to Tirupati Balaji and another temple nearby to seek the almighty’s blessings for the New Year. The actor posted photos of herself visiting temples, along with a letter explaining what she prayed for.
“Happy New Year to everyone,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a red saree and heavy gold jewellery on Instagram. Beginning the year with Tirupati Balaji’s blessings… “I hope this one sticks with you.”
Kangana also shared a set of photos in which she was dressed in a beige saree and worshipped at a separate temple, as well as feeding a calf. “There is only one Rahu Ketu temple in the world,” she added underneath it. It’s close to Tirupati Balaji, where I conducted certain rites…. Vayo (air element) Linda, one of the five elemental Lingas, is also located here…. It’s a very remarkable location…. Kangana is now filming Tiku Weds Sheru, her next production venture. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur appear in the film. She frequently posts photos from the sets to Instagram. She recently uploaded a photo of herself behind the camera, which she said was loaned to her for filming by famed filmmaker Bimal Roy’s family.
“This is not an ordinary day,” she wrote. “Today one of Tiku’s sets marries Sheru.” I discovered a rare jewel, a Newall camera from the golden age of Indian cinema in the 1950s, which belonged to Shri Bimal Roy ji, one of the finest directors of all time… This is nothing short of a blessing for me as I prepare to direct my second feature picture, Emergency… What a beautiful day… Thank you to Bimal Roy ji’s family for allowing us to film this priceless gem… @donfernandodp, thank you for coordinating this.”
The actor will then begin work on her next directorial, Emergency. She also has Tejas and Dhaakad in the pipeline.
