PM MODI MANN KI BAAT- PM Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through the 69th edition of his monthly radio address Mann ki Baat where he talked about the importance of storytelling, the values of Indian family system and hailed the passage of farm bills. The latest edition of Modi’s flagship programme comes a day after the prime minister addressed the United Nations General Assembly.
Mr. Modi highlighted instances of farmers breaking free from restrictions imposed by the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Acts in various States to trade their crops freely and profitably. He also said that the coronavirus disease pandemic has served in enhancing the bonding among family members, bringing them even closer.

Focuses on Farm Bills and story telling
Referring to the Bills, Mr. Modi said, “Farmers now have the power to sell their produce anywhere and to anyone and they have the freedom to grow any crop and to sell it at a price best suited to them.” Also they can sell their produce without any taxes. PM Modi started his address with highlighting of importance of the art of storytelling. He said that the coronavirus disease pandemic has served in enhancing the bonding among family members and also bringing them even closer. “But there are issues with some of the families. Some families have lost touch with their values,” he said, adding that stories can help reinvigorate such families.
