15th September Celebrated as Engineers Day | birthday of ‘Bharatratna’ Dr. Visvesvaraya. The birth anniversary of Sir M Visvesvaraya is celebrate every year as Engineer’s Day in India. Dr. Visvesvaraya was the 19th Diwan of Mysore from the years 1912 to 1918.

The birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s greatest engineers. In contrast to that Which is celebrate every year as Engineer’s Day. Popularly called ‘Sir MV’. Therefore, M Visvesvaraya did his primary education in his hometown in Chikballapur. But later move to Bengaluru for higher education. However, After completing his undergraduate degree in Arts, M Visvesvaraya changed track and went for a degree in civil engineering from the College of Engineering in Pune.

Dr. Visvesvaraya was the 19th Diwan of Mysore till 1918

Dr. Visvesvaraya was the 19th Diwan of Mysore from the years 1912 to 1918. Dr. Visvesvaraya is consider as the main pillar of the construction of Krishnaraja Sagar Dam in Mandya district. With his skill, he also celebrated the system of saving Hyderabad city from floods. The British also considered his engineering iron.
