Fans of late actress Sridevi have spotted her doppelganger Dipali Choudhary online. Dipali describes herself as a ‘Haryanvi actress,’ and she has over 33.4 thousand Instagram followers. She’s posted a slew of videos in which she lip-syncs to Sridevi’s lines and songs from a variety of her films. Fans have remarked on her likeness to the iconic actor and have complimented her in the Instagram comments area.
Dipali recreated one of Sridevi’s most iconic scenes from Laadla in one of the videos (1994). She also lip-synced to lines from films such as Sadma (1983), Nagina (1986), and Judaai (1997). Dipali also danced to a number of Sridevi’s songs, including Chandni’s Tere Mere Hothon Pe (1989).
Her followers praised her for her skill to imitate Sridevi in response to her videos. “Kudrat ka karishma (Nature’s wonder),” an admirer said. “Wow, same Sridevi ka acting kiye ho, very nice (same acting as Sridevi),” someone commented. “Kya acting ki hai (what acting),” wrote one Instagram user.
“Sridevi ki copy lag rahe hai aap (You look like Sridevi’s copy),” another person said. “Aisa laga Judaai movie dekh rahi hu…. bad m yaad aaya arre baap re ye toh Dipali ji ki reel hai,” a fan wrote. “Same to same Sridevi maam jaise lagre ho aap (Looking the same as Sridevi),” someone another added.
Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Karma, Nazrana, Waqt Ki Awaz, Khuda Gawah, Gumrah, and English Vinglish are just a few of Sridevi’s hit films. Mom (2017) was her most recent film, for which she received a posthumous Best Actress National Award. Sridevi died on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, where she was attending a family wedding.
Sridevi is survived by her husband, producer Boney Kapoor, and their two children, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, both actresses. Boney, who recently joined Instagram, frequently posts throwback photos of Sridevi. E just shared these retro images from their 1998 Alaska vacation. He shared a photo of Sridevi with the phrase “My heart (red heart emoji).” Boney’s children from his first marriage, Mona Shourie, are actors Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor.
