Samantha Ruth Prabhu has features the cover of a fashion magazine recently. In the accompanying interview with the cover shoot, the actor has opened up about a number of issues ranging from body image issues to her career trajectory. Samantha turned 35 last week and celebrated her birthday on set shooting for her upcoming film.

Samantha is one of the leading actors of the Telugu and Tamil film industries, having worked in several successful as well as critically-acclaimed films over the years. In 2021, she made her OTT debut as well when she played an extremist in the Amazon Prime Video series The Family Man.
The actor Samantha features on the cover of The Peacock Magazine, run fashion designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock. Samantha shared a number of pictures from the shoot on Instagram on Friday and Saturday. In the cover shoot, Samantha is seen in a shimmery wine-coloured ensemble. In the accompanying interview, she talks about how she overcame her body-image issues and gained confidence.
“I suppose after working on so many projects, I can say that I’m a lot more confident, and it also comes with age and maturity,” she added of how the experience has made her more confident in her physique. It took a while for me to be at ease in my own skin, but now I’m much more comfortable taking on different parts, whether it’s a seductive song or hard core action, which I probably wouldn’t have had the nerve to do before.” Samantha had her debut appearance in a special dance number of her career last year in Pushpa: The Rise’s song Oo Antava.

The actor recently appeared in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, a love triangle starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. At the box office, the picture received mixed reviews and mediocre reception. “You are just as good as your previous film,” Samantha noted in an interview on her career. What has changed for me as an actor and performer is being given such fantastic roles and delivering on them. I believe that you are only as good as the roles that you are given. I’m delighted I was able to take advantage of all of the possibilities that were presented to me and deliver outcomes.”
Samantha Ruth is currently filming in Kashmir alongside Vijay Deverakonda for an untitled project. Other projects in the works for the actor include the mythological drama Shaakuntalam and the sci-fi thriller Yashoda. Both of these flicks are due out later this year.
