The (National Education Policy) NEP Accelerator programme was launched on May 12 by Apeejay Education and Amazon Web Services (AWS) (NEPAP). According to Apeejay Education, this effort will enable Indian academic institutions to align with the technology standards outlined in the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).
According to them, this is the first programme in India to support the digital transformation of educational institutions in accordance with the NEP 2020.
“The accelerator programme will provide guidance to academic institutions on a variety of NEP 2020 topics.It will assist academic institutions by holding digital innovation workshops aimed at identifying and prioritising unique challenges faced by academic institutions, as well as co-developing solutions or proof-of-concepts (POCs) using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), according to an official statement.
AWS will lead these workshops, which will be based on the Amazon Working Backwards innovation methodology…AWS and Apeejay Education hope to support academic institutions through AWS credits and capacity building workshops…” it continued.
“Today, there is a clear need to assist institutions in identifying and defining issue statements, developing digital solutions, testing their efficacy in fail-safe environments, and scaling the solutions for the education sector’s benefit,” he added.
